3 Homeschool Transcript Problems and How to Avoid Them
First Problem: Your child’s grades don’t match their test scores.
High test scores usually combine with great grades, and vice versa. You will need to have something to provide outside documentation.
Solution: Find a way to provide outside documentation that fits your child. Read Super-Size Scholarships with Outside Documentation if you need inspiration.
Second Problem: Your child appears boring and one-dimensional on paper.
This often happens when you try so hard to make a transcript look normal that you strip away all of your child’s uniqueness.
Solution: Create a unique homeschool transcript that includes delight directed learning, unusual class titles, and year-round schooling opportunities.
Third Problem: Your child’s transcript is missing large chunks of information.
This can happen when you put off working on your records until the bitter end, and by then, you have forgotten some key pieces you should have included on the transcript.
Solution: Work on your child’s high school transcript every year of high school – no exceptions! Then you will always have it ready to go!
