There are many different ways to college and compile activity lists for your students. What will those tests be used for? There are 2 purposes:
1. The activity list is attached to your comprehensive academic records and becomes a part of your description of your homeschool along with your course descriptions
2. Activities and awards are easily forgotten over time, so a list provides a memory prompt. When faced with online college applications, and you face time pressure to get it done quickly, having a handy list can really help. It can jog your memory. Use the list to cut and paste information onto online applications
College may have specific details they want about activities: how many hours, what year, which months, what organization, etc. Save details neatly, so that when you need the information you’ll have it handy.
See those cute buttons at the bottom of these blog posts? Those are there to help you share helpful posts with others who might need encouragement. Go ahead and give it a try. I promise that nothing will blow up!
Lee,
I haven’t heard of keeping an activity list. Is this a list of extracurricular activities?
Hi Leane,
Yes, extracurricular activities, but also work experience, volunteer hours, or things like that.
Blessings,
Lee
Is this for the high school years only?
Great idea!
